Or was I waiting to be kissed by Ophelia? Or was I seeking refuge in the cold lap of Death? Rather than procrastinating for days on end? In front of all, their innocence to mar? It would be better to die, to sleep in peaceĬould I not stab my uncle and humiliate her, Let me try my hand on the famous soliloquy by Hamlet and write in my own way: But for us, especially the writers of the postmodern era surely it is a matter of assiduous attempt. For him fitting gems of language into the befitting iambic pentameter lines was no question of added effort. Shakespeare being a potential playwright of Elizabethan era managed to put his brilliance in the maximum into them. Shakespeare’s Hamlet is fraught with brilliant soliloquies.
